Jon Cotterill-Bolsover

 

Jon Cotterill-Bolsover is a highly experienced training consultant, football coach and trainer based in South Yorkshire.

​

Jon is the Manager of Barnsley Women's FC Reserves, currently playing in the FA Women's National League Reserve League, as well as serving as a coach at the Barnsley Women's Emerging Talent Centre and the Under 14s Sheffield Schools Girls Representative Squad.

 

Formally serving as Head of Performance at Chesterfield Ladies FC, where he headed the development and player care programme, Jonathan also worked with the Afghanistan Women's National Team and The Chagos Islands International Men's team offering sports science, performance support and coaching consultancy.

Jon has recently worked in the role of Interim Women's Development Manager for the World Unity Football Alliance supporting national teams across the globe develop their women;s teams.

​

Jon has been dedicated to the Women and Girls game for over ten years working with players on all levels from complete beginners to pro-level players and England internationals. He has been successful in supporting players to higher levels of football as well as supporting careers across in the United States. He also works as a freelance journalist reporting for a number of publications dedicated to the Women's game.

Qualified to degree level in Psychology,  Jon is also highly qualified in Sport holding a Level 4 Performance Analysis qualification, Level 4 Strength and Conditioning, Level 3 PESS (Supporting Physical Education and School Sport), FA Level 2, Goalkeeping Level 2 and a number of specialist qualifications including the level 3 Award in Education and Training. In 2022, he qualified as a Youth S&C Specialist.​

Jonathan's professional approach combined with his experience assures that a service is delivered that truly second to none. He holds a passion for assisting people within in the game by breaking down the barriers that enable people to progress.
